Thank you SO much from the bottom of our hearts for joining us out at the beautiful Lake Pflugerville.

 

We ended up with 211 registrants – 51 for the 10k and 138 for the 5k and 22 for the kids k.  We are very pleased with those numbers, considering it was our inaugural year and it was late in the spring, which meant warmer temperatures.  Our plan for next year is to do it a few weeks earlier, so hopefully it will be a bit cooler, as well as away from all the year-end activities at school.  You can follow us on Facebook – Pack Around the Park 5k, 10k, and Kids k – for all the updates!

Again, thank you so much for coming out and supporting the Weiss High School Band!!!  100% of the money from the race is going directly back to our band students and their performance goals for this upcoming school year.   We had about 30 Weiss High School students on the course playing for you, so that was a neat opportunity for them, as many have not experienced a race before.  We had several band students run in it, as well as all four of our band directors!!

 

We hope you had a great time out there and enjoyed the course, the lake and the music.  Music truly does change our soul – it has a great impact on our lives and these students are not only becoming amazing musicians, but growing in leadership skills, developing community, and increasing the amount of joy in their lives.  Thank you for playing a part in our band program – we are forever grateful.
